I hear this. A lot. And I have to admit, at all of the gigs I have worked, I see groups of women up dancing...but not with men. Oh, there are men present. Most of the women are married, and their husbands are there...just not on the dance floor.
My wife tells me that men danced at bars and other venues when they were young and single because, well, "...if they wanted to meet women, they HAD to." Okay, actually she said "if they wanted to get ..." but at the risk of offending a potential client, we'll leave it at "meet women."
I have to agree with her theory. I spent at least one night a week out dancing at bars in my single days, and I have to admit, I worked on my cool, suave dance moves entirely for the purpose of...meeting women.
Sooooo, the absence of male baby boomers on the dancefloor means what...that men are no longer compelled to get out there and get down because they are no longer interested in the afterparty on the Temperpedic?
Really?
What do you think? More importantly, what is the solution?
